Paradise Inn

30 September 2010
"See you in paradise. I meant the inn..." My friend's SMS had me chuckling to myself.

I had wanted to visit Paradise Inn for some time and a chance came up to do so in City Square Mall.

The atmosphere promised a relaxing time enjoying Chinese cuisine.

We ordered a signature fried rice, spinach cooked in three kinds of eggs (fresh, century & salted) and coffee pork ribs.

The fried rice was cooked well, every grain was al dente and well-flavoured. The spinach was up to standard but not memorable. The coffee pork ribs had a nice coffee flavour. I'm not sure if too much tenderiser was used, I find that the natural pork texture was missing.

Generally the food is quite good, except that the portion looked quite small. Although in the end it was enough for three ladies, I can't say the same for guys though.

Floral tea with forget-me-not, rose, chrysanthemum & dried longans - about $3.20++

I enjoyed the tea with unlimited top-up of water. It promised detoxing abilities among many, but I didn't take note of the after effect. It did, however, provided the three diners with reason to stay in the restaurant till closing time.
